Introduction letter
Dear Preschool Families,
I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Yasmin Darroch and I am honored to be your child’s Grade 3 teacher. This is my second year at Saint John Paul II Catholic Academy. I recently relocated with my family to the Boston area from Upstate New York. I received my Master’s Degree in Elementary education in 2010 from Potsdam University. Currently I am NYS 1-6, NYS Birth-2nd grade, Special Education 1-6, and MA Pre-K to 2nd grade certified.
This year will be full of many wonderful experiences and opportunities to learn and grow in the days ahead. Our curriculum will provide students the opportunity to explore, analyze, predict, construct, and verbalize their learning across all subject areas. We will be using Reading Street and Envisions Math, which are both aligned with Common Core State Standards.
I believe that communication is the key to a great parent-teacher and family relationship. I encourage you to contact me if you have any questions or concerns at any time. You can send me a note, or email me at [email protected]. I will also do my part by sending out a newsletter each week to update you on what we have been doing in class as well as things that are up coming.
Lastly, please provide your child with a daily healthy snack. I am very excited to meet your children and look forward to a wonderful and exciting year!
Sincerely,
Yasmin Darroch
